More volunteer hours = more money for clubs, enrichment, staff support and social activities.
Four Ways You Can Help
Workgroups are held weeknights or Sunday afternoons. Duties may include organizing merchandise on the floor, hanging up clothing and cleaning the store, and volunteers get a discount on some items. Students and their family members can earn $5 per volunteer hour for their club, to be used for supplies, trips and competitions. Check the PTA homepage for dates.
2. Volunteer at Other Times
Contact the thrift shop directly to volunteer during store hours. Locations are listed below. Be sure to write CEC in the book so that CEC gets credit for your volunteer hours.
3. Parade Float
Help create CEC’s annual, award-winning float for the Siler City Christmas parade. Details will be shared in school communications and the PTA website. The school can earn up to 75 hours!
4. Fashion Show
Participate in CEC’s once-a-semester fashion show by donating items in good condition, modeling clothes or household good, cataloging items and delivering them to the store. Details will be shared in school communications and via email with PTA members. CEC can earn up to 75 hours for each fashion show!
