A Little of Your Time Can Go a Long Way to Help Your Student and the Staff!

Earn money for CEC through the PTA general fund by volunteering for thrift shop workgroups.

Workgroups take place when the store is closed. Tasks are easy, and usually include straightening and organizing items and cleaning the store. Students, parents, siblings and all family members are encouraged to volunteer.

  • Sunday, March 23, 2025, 2-4pm, Pittsboro PTA Thrift Shop

  • Friday April 25, 2025, 6-8 pm, Pittsboro PTA Thrift Shop

  • Sunday, April 27, 2025, 2-4pm, Pittsboro PTA Thrift Shop

  • Monday, April 28, 2025, 6-8 pm, Siler City PTA Thrift Shop

If the workgroup times are not convenient for you, feel free to stop by any of the PTA Thrift Shop locations, Siler City, Pittsboro or Cole Park, and ask a manager about scheduling another time to volunteer. Be sure to record your volunteer hours in the CEC binder at each store, and snap a photo for your records.

CCI PTA was recently awarded $19,748.45 for hours CEC parents, students and teachers volunteered at the thrift shop during the 2023-2024 school year. Congratulations, Octopi!
